MAYOR LAZATIN LAUNCHES POST-ELECTION CLEAN-UP DRIVE

A day after the 2025 national and local elections, Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has ordered a citywide clean-up drive to clear streets and public spaces of campaign waste and election-related litter.

The Environmental Management System (EMS) and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) began the clean-up operations today, May 13, under the supervision of EMS Head Francis Pangilinan and CENRO Chief Jenifer Castro.

“We want to ensure that our streets, schools, and public areas are free from campaign materials and debris,” Mayor Lazatin said. “This is part of our ongoing commitment to keep the city clean and promote environmental responsibility—regardless of election results.”

He also encouraged candidates and supporters to join the clean-up as a sign of unity and shared civic duty.

“Our work for the city doesn’t end with voting. Let’s all do our part,” Lazatin added.
