MAYOR LAZATIN ORDERS CITY-WIDE SAFETY MEASURES FOR HOLY WEEK

To ensure the safety and well-being of residents and visitors during the Holy Week, Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has instructed the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO), headed by Rudy Simeon, to deploy ambulances in four strategic locations across the city.

This is in line with OPLAN SUMVAC 2025, a nationwide initiative aimed at assisting travelers and motorists during the Lenten season.

Ambulances and ACDRRMO personnel have been positioned at the following key areas:

  • Caltex Gas Station, Brgy. Pulung Cacutud
  • Stoplight area, Brgy. Pulungbulu
  • BPI vicinity, Brgy. Balibago
  • Outpost near Burger King, Brgy. Anunas

These deployment points are intended to maintain a maximum emergency response time of 10 to 15 minutes.

“We’ve deployed additional traffic enforcers to assist motorists, especially during this Holy Week. We want to make sure everyone travels safely and reaches their destinations without incident,” Mayor Lazatin emphasized.

Seen in the photo during the discussion with Mayor Lazatin are Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, ACDRRMO Head Rudy Simeon, Sta. Trinidad Punong Barangay and ABC President Dan Nacu, and Pampang Punong Barangay Carlos Dela Cruz.

OPLAN SUMVAC 2025 operations will remain active until 8:00 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.
