Mayor Pecson approves add’l P1.6-M for Local School Board

The Magalang Local School Board Committee, chaired by Mayor Romulo Pecson has approved a additional P1.6-million supplemental budget for the renovation of their school facilities and implementation of its continuity plan to adapt to the new normal in teaching and learning with face-to-face classes indefinitely suspended.

Earlier, the Magalang-LGU announced the use of a blended system of learning for basic education to guarantee the safety of students amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Local Government Unit of Magalang under the Leadership of Mayor Romy Pecson is working to improve school facilities, like wash facilities, water supply, water catchment systems, and installation of water pumps, before face-to-face classes resume.

Present during the said meeting were Mayor Romulo Pecson (Chairman, Local School Board Committee), Municipal Administrator Lyndon Cunanan, Municipal Treasurer Raissa Bayani, Emely Maninang (PSDS, DepEd-Magalang South), Nenita Salas (PSDS, DepEd-Magalang North), Analiza Castro (PTA Federation President of Magalang), and Aileen Santos (Principal, San Roque Elementary School) – Municipality of Magalang
