Mayor Pogi to give pay hike to 174 RLMMC COS employees anew

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has announced the salary increase of 174 Contract of Service (COS) employees at the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC) effective February 16, 2023, after signing Memorandum Order No. 253, Series of 2023.

Among the employees who will receive additional raise in salary are the 26 Medical Technologists who will receive ₱4,000; six Radiologic Technologists who will receive ₱8,000; and seven Pharmacists who will receive ₱5,150.

Furthermore, 30 Housekeeping Personnel, 13 Utility Staff and 92 Admin Employees will receive a salary increase of ₱50 per day.

According to Mayor Lazatin, the salary hike is in recognition of the efforts of RLMMC employees who have been providing quality health care and treatment to COVID-19 patients at the height of the pandemic.

“Isa lamang po itong pagkilala sa mga masisipag nating mga kawani ng gobyerno ng RLMMC na noong kasagsagan ng pandemya ay laging nagbibigay ng serbisyong may puso para sa mga kababayan nating nadapuan ng virus,” Lazatin said.

To recall, all ONA personnel exhausted all resources to give utmost health services to the patients in ONA — may it be for Covid-19 patients and other patients’ health cases.

Mayor Lazatin recognizes this, with the intent of giving back to these personnel, who relentlessly worked hard and gave maximum effort in the face of the pandemic, and up to now under the new normal set-up.

Meanwhile, upon the instruction of Mayor Lazatin, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas met with the officers of RLMMC, led by Chief of Hospital Dr. Froilan Canlas, to prepare the operations of five additional dialysis machines at the Renal Care Unit of RLMMC.

Calaguas also said that the city government is getting ready for the opening phase of the soon-to-rise RLMMC Annex Building in Barangay Pampang, which will be inaugurated this year.

For his part, Dr. Canlas expressed his utmost gratitude to the Lazatin administration for recognizing their hard work in providing quality healthcare.

“Paghahanda rin po ito para sa expansion na ginagawa po natin, upang mas maging competitive po ang sahod ng mga personnel natin,” Canlas also added.

Earlier this year, Mayor Lazatin already raised the salary of 117 RLMMC employees through Memorandum Order No. 182, Series of 2023.

a2020, Lazatin ordered the ₱12,000 salary raise of 111 nurses of RLMMC.

In 2021, 141 City Health volunteers assisting in the vaccination site — 43 Barangay Health Workers, 49 Barangay Nutrition Scholars, and 49 Barangay Population Officers — get an additional ₱1,000 honoraria.
