MCG-CVO Poster Making Contest promotes Anti-Rabies and responsible pet ownership campaign

To raise awareness on rabies prevention and responsible pet ownership to the young Mabalaquenians the City Veterinary Office (CVO) conducted a Poster Making competition on Anti-Rabies and Responsible Pet Ownership on January 16, 2023.

Out of 134 pupils and students participated the event. The contest was launched last June 2022   to all public elementary and high school students to raise awareness and responsible pet ownership in the community.

CVO head Dr. Abel Canlas  awarded the winners. For the High School category winners were  Chris Lawrence Arpon of Mabalacat of Community High School won the 1st place, Aaliyah Joy L. Soriano of Mawaque High School (Resettlement School) in 2nd place and Dise Yllona A. Dela Cruz of Doña Asuncion Lee Integrated School in 3rd place.

While in Elementary division winners were Jillyne T. Capa of Villa Teodora Elementary School bagged the 1st place,Shiela Mae B. Ramos of Camachiles Elementary School in the 2nd place and Asherreth Anne Nicol D. Non of Lakandula Elementary School in the 3rd place.

The 1st placers both received Php12,000 cash prize, while the 2nd placers got Php8,000 each and Php5,000 each for the 3rd placers. While two students from each category also brought home a consolation prize of Php3,000 each. (MCN)
