Measles, Rubella, Tetanus and Diphtheria (MRTD) immunization program kicks off in Angeles City
Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. on October 27, 2021 visits the community-based immunization of Measles, Rubella, Tetanus and Diphtheria (MRTD) of Angeleño children, aged 6-7 years old and 12-13 years old, from Barangay San Jose.
Amidst the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayor Lazatin continues to push for programs that will ensure the health of Angeleño children.
MRTD vaccines serve to protect children against Measles, Rubella, Tetanus and Diphtheria.
According to City Health Officer-in-Charge Dr. Verona Guevarra and Nurse Supervisor Evelinda Mariano, MRTD vaccination is routinely recommended for kids aged 6-7 and 12-13 years.
The city government, thru the City Health Office and Gender and Development Office will oversee the MRTD vaccinations in the 33 barangays in the city. (Angeles City-CIO)
