The Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., started the distribution of medicine packages to home-isolated COVID-19 patients on January 8, 2022.
Inside the packages are azithromax, neozep, paracetamol, prednisone, and surgical masks.
The medicine packages were delivered by the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office led by Rodolfo Simeon.
The medicines were prescribed by doctors of Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center led by Dr. Froilan Canlas thru the telemedicine hotlines launched by Mayor Lazatin, a free consultation intended for medical concerns of Covid-19 patients that are currently at home isolation or under quarantine.
Mayor Lazatin said this initiative is to assist COVID-19 patients in their full recovery.
Lazatin said this is only a small way to help them in their financial burden.
According to City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra, the fastest way to recovery is full rest, drinking of plenty of water, eating nutritious foods, and taking prescribed medicines.
To recall, the city government has adopted the guidelines set by the Department of Health for home isolation and quarantine protocols for COVID-19 patients that are either fully vaccinated or not.
