Modern jeepneys launched in Pampanga
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Four transport service cooperatives in Pampanga launched 12 Class 2 PUJs earlier today, March 16, under the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) at the Capitol Grounds here.

The Kapampangan Transport Service Cooperative, Lubao Transport Service Cooperative, the Guagua-Betis-Bacolor Transport Service Cooperative and the One Mexico Prime Transport Service Cooperative were the transport cooperatives that participated to provide a Kapampangan commuters with comfortable and reliable transportation in the province.

Present at the joint launching were Pampanga Cooperative and Entrepreneurial Development Office (PCEDO) Head Engr. Lulu S. Alingcastre; Public Utility Cluster (CDA) Head Assistant Secretary Abad L. Santos; LTFRB-3 regional Director Ahmed G. Cuizon; Pampanga Second District Board Member Anthony Joseph S. Torres; CDA-3 Regional Director Cristina H. Villamil.

Also present were Engr. Eugene M. Pabualan, OIC-Office of the Transport Cooperatives; Divina Quemi, Chief Executive Officer of Nueva Segovia Consortium of Cooperatives (NSCC); Donivan A. Yu, Chief Executive Officer of Journeytech Inc.; and, Legacy Trucks and Tractors, Inc. General Manager Alexander M. Hernandez.

The PUV Modernization Program is a flagship, non-infrastructure project of President Duterte that aims to provide a comfortable life for all Filipinos through a safe, reliable, convenient, affordable, and environmentally-sustainable public transportation system in the country. (LTFRB Region III)
