Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. and Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II on March 14, 2022 led the ribbon cutting and turnover ceremony of the P29.86 Million, 4-Storey, 14-classroom school building at Rafael L. Lazatin Memorial High School.
Also present were Vice Mayor Vicky Vega, City Engineer Donato Dizon, City Councilors Raco Del Rosario, Atty. Arvin Suller, Marino Bañola and Dan Lacson.
The Angeles City government continues to provide programs that will uplift the quality of education in the city.
It can be recalled that a total of 700 access points were installed city-wide for free WIFI connection, 200 of which were paid for by the city government for P20 million, while the other 500 are being installed for free.
The city government also distributed tents to the 53 public schools in the city.
Mayor Lazatin has also allotted P209 million to purchase 63,200 tablets for 55,000 Grades 4 to 12 students and 3,000 school teachers in 53 public schools, and 3,200 scholars in the City College of Angeles (CCA). — (Angeles CIO)
