Efforts to expand support for the LGBTQIA+ community in Pampanga’s First District continue as Chief Political Affairs Officer Reina Manuel led a consultative meeting with sector representatives on March 19, 2026.
The meeting, held on behalf of First District Representative Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., gathered members of the LGBTQIA+ community to discuss programs and initiatives aimed at strengthening inclusivity and support mechanisms.

Also present during the discussion was Political Affairs Officer III Mina Cabiles.
Manuel underscored the office’s ongoing commitment to the sector, emphasizing the importance of sustained engagement and responsive programs.
“Our office remains dedicated to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community through meaningful programs and sustained engagement,” Manuel said.

Key discussions centered on enhancing existing initiatives and identifying new opportunities to further uplift members of the LGBTQIA+ community across the district.
The meeting also revisited past efforts led by Lazatin during his tenure as Angeles City mayor, including the establishment of an LGBTQ office and the provision of financial and rice assistance—programs that continue to serve as foundations for inclusive governance in the district.
