PAMPANGA THANKS DMW FOR PHP 3.059M AID TO KAPAMPANGAN OFWs

The Provincial Government of Pampanga expressed gratitude to the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) for providing PHP 3.059 million in livelihood and financial assistance to 135 Kapampangan overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) through the Livelihood Program for OFWs Reintegration (LPOR).

This support will help beneficiaries restart their lives and establish their own businesses.

Alongside the aid distribution, a Convergence Agreement was signed between DMW, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the Pampanga Provincial Government. The agreement aims to protect OFWs, enhance their skills, and improve their reintegration into their communities.

Additionally, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed to improve healthcare services for OFWs, their families, and Pampanga residents. Under the agreement, the DMW-OFW Hospital will implement a 60-40% admission ratio for OFW and non-OFW patients while expanding medical services and support through various programs.

On behalf of Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda thanked DMW and assured continued collaboration with the agency and other institutions to ensure the protection, welfare, and successful reintegration of Kapampangan OFWs.
