President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the distribution of various government assistance, including the Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) which seeks to help vulnerable and marginalized workers through transitional emergency employment program and the promotion of livelihood and entrepreneurship in Limay, Bataan today.
At the event, DOLE awarded Negosyo sa Kariton, also known as Nego-Kart, to help vendors improve their existing livelihood by boosting profitability and making these sustainable.
The Department of Agriculture (DA), at the same time, turned over fiberglass boats, marine engines, fish paraphernalia, fisheries post-harvest equipment, milkfish fry holding facility and fish seeds.
The DA also turned over a Php90-million budget to the Municipality of Hermosa for the improvement of the Sitio Nazareno-Culis Farm-to-Market Road and Php180 million to the Municipality of Orani for the construction of a fish landing and trading facility.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), meanwhile, awarded Php5,000 each to about 934 beneficiaries under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) to augment their need for food and other necessities. It also distributed food packs worth Php777,000 to 100 family through the Food for Work Program.
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) officials also distributed toolkits to Special Training for Employment Scholarship Program (STEP)(PIA Gitnang Luzon)
