Phil. Football League champs UCFC to host home matches at New Clark City – The Voice Newsweekly

Let’s get the ball rolling for the first ever football matches at NCC! 🏈

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and the United City Football Club (UCFC) on Tuesday, October 4 held a press conference and MOU signing on the staging Philippine Football League (PFL) Season 2022-2023 matches at New Clark City Athletics Stadium.

UCFC, defending champions in the PFL, will start hosting its official home matches during the ongoing PFL 2022/2023 season at NCC Athletics Stadium from October onwards, bringing excitement and live matches to football fans in Central Luzon.

MOU SIGNED! UCFC CEO Eric Gottschalk and Central Luzon Football Association President Alvin Yalung pose with the signed an MOU to seal UCFC’s commitment to represent Region III and to raise Central Luzon’s banner in the national football scene.

Present at the event were Philippine Football Federation (PFF) General Secretary, Atty. Edwin Gastanes, UCFC Director of Football Juan Esteva, Central Luzon Football Association President Alvin Yalung, UCFC CEO Eric Gottschalk, BCDA Senior Vice President for Corporate Services Group (CSG) Arrey Perez, and MTD Philippines President, Engr. Patrick Nicholas David. Also present were UCFC Captains Alan Robertson & Mark Hartmann.

UCFC is a Filipino professional football club based in New Clark City in Capas, Tarlac, that competes in the Philippines Football League, the top-tier league of football in the Philippines.

UCFC President Gotchalk said, “To represent Central Luzon and to bring football to the local community is a major step in the development of professional football in the country. Football is about belonging, therefore, our matches need to be played within the community we are representing, which is now Clark in Central Luzon.”

Meanwhile BCDA President and Chief Executive Officer Aileen R. Zosa warmly welcomed UCFC and reiterated BCDA’s commitment to give the best football experience to the teams playing in NCC and their fans.

“World-class sports facilities, safe environment and stunning views – NCC can offer all these and more. We are excited that UCFC chose New Clark City Athletics Stadium as the venue for its matches, and we hope to bring pride to players who will be coming to play here,” Zosa said.
