The Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS) and the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) have signed a memorandum of agreement to provide free legal assistance to IAS personnel facing criminal, civil, administrative, and quasi-judicial cases linked to their official duties.

The agreement, signed by IAS Inspector General Brigido Dulay and Chief Public Attorney Persida Rueda-Acosta at Camp Crame, ensures pro bono legal aid from PAO, marking the first time IAS staff will receive guaranteed legal support.

This partnership aims to strengthen internal accountability within the police force, protect IAS personnel from retaliatory lawsuits, and enhance the integrity of police discipline and accountability.
