PPC tees up for bigger 3rd Invitational Golf Tournament, rallies wide partner support

Pampanga Press Club (PPC) is set to stage its 3rd Invitational Golf Tournament on April 15 at Pradera Verde Golf and Country Club in Lubao, powered by an expanded network of partners from government, corporate, and civic sectors.

The tournament serves as a fundraising activity for PPC’s two flagship programs: training campus journalists and supporting the welfare and professional development of its members.

PPC president Lincoln Baluyut expressed gratitude for the continued and growing support of stakeholders, noting the impact of sustained partnerships on the club’s advocacy programs.

“I appreciate the continuing support of private corporations, government entities and individuals to our programs in training campus journalists and improving the well-being of our members,” Baluyut said.

PPC chairman Noel Tulabut also highlighted how the tournament has strengthened collaboration between the press club and its partners while helping nurture future journalists.

“It is noteworthy how we in PPC can also bolster a relationship with our growing partners and at the same time jointly help our aspiring writers and journalists,” Tulabut said.

Founded as one of the country’s oldest media organizations, the Pampanga Press Club launched its golf tournament series in 2024 with fewer than 30 partners. Since then, support has steadily grown, reflecting stronger engagement with the media community and its initiatives.
