Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) will deploy around 2,000 personnel across Central Luzon as part of its “LIGTAS SUMVAC 2026” campaign to ensure a safe, orderly, and secure summer vacation.
The initiative supports the focused agenda of PNP Chief Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr., with PRO3 Regional Director Jess B Mendez assuring the public of heightened alert and full security coverage from March 29 to May 31, 2026, as an influx of travelers is expected in key tourist destinations.
Mendez said police visibility will be intensified through foot and mobile patrols, along with the establishment of Police Assistance Desks and Centers (PADs/PACs) in strategic areas such as transport terminals, airports, seaports, major highways, and tourist spots. Road Safety Marshals will also be deployed to manage traffic and assist motorists along major routes.
He also directed all unit commanders to strengthen coordination with local government units, non-government organizations, and volunteer groups to ensure a whole-of-community approach in maintaining public safety.
To further enhance operations, PRO3 will mobilize force multipliers, including Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs) and radio groups, particularly in high-traffic areas where criminal activities may arise.
“Security is a shared responsibility. We urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities,” Mendez said.
The public may report incidents or seek assistance through PRO3 hotlines: 0998-5985330 and 0917-6235700.
Anchored on its commitment to fast, honest, and responsive service, PRO3 aims to ensure a safe and secure summer for all across Central Luzon.
