Safe workplace seminar held for Fernandino lantern workers

Safe workplace seminar held for Fernandino lantern workers

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Around 500 lantern workers in this city attended a seminar about “safety in the workplace” on March 23, 2022 at Heroes Hall.

City Investment Promotion Office (CIPO) said the forum was necessary as the workers are now into “massive production season” of lanterns amidst the continuous threat of COVID-19 pandemic.

The production is in preparation for the third to fourth quarter requirement of the year.

CIPO reminded the workers that despite the decrease in COVID-19 cases, minimum public health standards should still be implemented among workplaces especially now that the government allows 100 percent onsite work capacity in areas under Alert Level 1.

Apart from this, the CIPO vowed to continue providing assistance to lantern workers and makers in the forms of raw materials, financial aids, seminars, and trainings. (CSF CIO)
