SEC Tarlac, CAMI ink partnership for investor education campaign – The Voice Newsweekly

The Securities and Exchange Commission- Tarlac Extension Office (SEC TEO) has entered into an agreement with the Capampangan in Media, Inc. (CAMI) to further strengthen information dissemination about investor protection and financial literacy in the region, especially at the grassroots level.

SEC-TEO Director Richard R. Laus and CAMI President, Mr. Ashley Jay B. Manabat signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) solidifying this partnership last November 4 at Bale Balita in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

In his message, Director Laus said that in this collaboration, the CAMI will assist SEC-TEO in the information dissemination and promotion of the Commission’s programs, advocacies and activities on all of its media platforms.

Laus thanked the CAMI for partnering with SEC and recognized the role of the media as an effective channel of vital and relevant information for Filipino investors.

On the other hand, Manabat likewise thanked the SEC-TEO for tapping the CAMI on empowering the investing public through information dissemination against illegal investment activities.

On the same occasion, SEC TEO also joined Balitaan- the weekly media forum of CAMI to provide an update to the members of the Kapampangan Press regarding the issues involving investment scams and other relevant updates from SEC, particularly in the celebration of this year’s Investor Protection Week.

The CAMI is a network of veteran Kapampangan media practitioners and journalists promoting and defending the freedom of the press in the province of Pampanga.
