SEC-TEO records 3.59% increase in company registration

Securities and Exchange Commission-Tarlac Extension Office (SEC-TEO) recorded a 3.59 percent increase in the newly-registered companies for the first quarter of 2022.

A total of 462 entities registered this year, which is higher compared to the 446 of the previous year in the same period.

This includes 115 stock corporations, 180 non-stock corporations, 24 partnerships, 27 one person corporations, and 116 companies with less than five incorporators.

SEC-TEO Director Richard Laus said the rise in number is credited to the effort of the commission in establishing a company registration portal.

“It is called the Electronic Simplified Processing of Application for Registration of Company (eSPARC), which provides the public with a more secure, transparent, and efficient online facility for easy company registration,” Laus said.

eSPARC is part of the digital transformation program of the commission to improve ease of doing business in the country.

Further, Laus said he is positive in sustaining these accomplishments for the remaining quarters of the year as commitment to serving the investing public in a fast-paced corporate environment.

SEC-TEO also established a contact center to cater the concerns of its clients in terms of company registration through its hotline number at 0926-902-2405. (PIA 3)
