SM Supermalls opens doors to jobs, skills, and new beginnings this Labor Day

As Filipinos continue to navigate an evolving job market, SM Supermalls is strengthening its commitment to employment and workforce development through nationwide job fairs held across its malls.

In line with the celebration of Labor Day (Philippines) on May 1, SM is mounting a series of job fairs designed to connect jobseekers with employers, provide access to government services, and open opportunities for skills training and career growth.

These job fairs have become a trusted venue for fresh graduates, career shifters, and jobseekers from various sectors. Many participants are hired on the spot, while employers benefit from direct access to job-ready talent.

Beyond employment opportunities, the initiative also functions as a one-stop platform where jobseekers can process requirements and access services from government agencies such as Social Security System (Philippines), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, Department of Labor and Employment (Philippines), and local Public Employment Service Offices. This streamlined process helps applicants complete necessary documentation quickly and efficiently.

SM is also expanding the impact of its job fairs by incorporating upskilling opportunities, including digital and AI learning sessions in partnership with institutions such as Asia Pacific College. These initiatives aim to equip participants with relevant skills needed in today’s rapidly changing job market.
