In a bid towards sustainability, Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. has announced the city’s plan to embrace solar power, beginning with the installation of solar panels in government offices.
Mayor Lazatin’s initiative aims to reduce the city’s carbon footprint and promote clean energy solutions.
The Angeles City government led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. will use P450 million of its annual budget to procure equipment for health care and education and social services. ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย
Mayor Lazatin asserted this during his State of the City Address (SOCA) on Thursday, June 29, 2023.
Mayor Carmelo โPogiโ Lazatin Jr. continues to encourage Angeleรฑo households to practice waste segregation at source, in their own homes, as well as to reduce if not eliminate the use of plastics.
Starting in January 2024, the city government will strictly implement the โNo Segregation, No Collection of Garbageโ policy to instill the importance of waste segregation in reducing the waste being dumped in sanitary landfills.
The Angeles City government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., is set to enhance security measures with the installation of additional 210 additional closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras across major streets starting this year until June 2024.
