The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has formally awarded the contract for the assembly of seven train sets for the
Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista underscored that NSCR will offer Clark sustained economic opportunities as it will have a Clark International Airport station which will host the first direct airport rail link in the country.
Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista on Monday, January 30, called on the contractor of the North South Commuter Railway (NSCR) Phase 1 to complete the project on time as the project is expected to service thousands of Filipino commuters from the Metro Manila and adjacent provinces in Northern Luzon.
DOTr stressed that the commencement of civil works for the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project segment in Clark proves that the government’s Build Build Build program is no fluke.
