This is part of the Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty program which intends to contribute to the effort of the national government in addressing hunger, poverty and food security through synergy and convergence.
Some 12,000 farmers in Candaba, Pampanga received assistance from the Department of Agriculture (DA). President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led on Saturday the distribution of 1,755 bags of certified inbred seeds; 8,461 fertilizer discount vouchers; and 3,680 cash cards with P5,000 each as part of the Rice Farmer Financial Assistance Program.
A total of 54 farmers’ cooperatives and associations (FCA) and local government units (LGU) in the province of Pampanga received agricultural machinery from the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech).
