The Philippines’ top finance super app GCash debuts its stronger international services at the Singapore Fintech Festival 2023.
In an ongoing effort to combat scams, frauds, and account takeovers, the country’s most popular finance super app, GCash, is now barring ‘jailbroken’ and ‘rooted’ devices, effective immediately as a precautionary step against potential security weaknesses of modified smartphones.
GCash, the Philippines’ No. 1 finance superapp, will continue to subsidize part of the rising operating costs of its partners to keep the convenience fee for cash-ins affordable to its many users, GCash President and CEO Martha Sazon said at a recent media briefing of the Globe Group.

With a simple text, Globe subscribers who are also GCash users can quickly register their SIMs in compliance with Republic Act (RA) 11934 or the SIM Registration Act. Those who complete registration will also get 1GB of free data.
