Mayor Carmelo โ€˜Pogiโ€™ Lazatin Jr. continues to encourage Angeleรฑo households to practice waste segregation at source, in their own homes, as well as to reduce if not eliminate the use of plastics.
Starting in January 2024, the city government will strictly implement the โ€œNo Segregation, No Collection of Garbageโ€ policy to instill the importance of waste segregation in reducing the waste being dumped in sanitary landfills.

Black soldier flies decompose various types of organic waste and convert them into high-value biomasses such as oils and proteins.
