The opening of the 8.9-kilometer Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) is enhancing the appeal of Cebu as a tourist destination, backing up the revival of economy and tourism industry post-pandemic.
NLEX Corporation has earmarked P1.2 billion in this year’s capital expenditures to enhance and maintain the NLEX system as it continues to transform the experience of motorists plying the said expressway.
NLEX Corporation announced that significant improvements that are expected to boost customer experience are set for SCTEX as the programmed system upgrade totaling P162 million will be completed within the year.
With over 119 million motorists served last year, NLEX Corporation is continuing to elevate customer experience through its system enhancements and programs planned for 2022.
NLEX Corporation continues to upgrade its toll collection system as it is set to start the installation of automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) and RFID early detection features in more NLEX-SCTEX toll lanes by December 2021 and first quarter of next year, respectively.
