Vice President Leni Robredo on Wednesday, February 16 said that the residents of Boracay should have a say in deciding the island’s future, expressing her opposition to the Boracay Island Development Authority (BIDA) bill currently pending in Congress.
Robredo has been campaigning around the country since her official sendoff in her hometown of Naga on Tuesday, February 8. The Vice President hopscotched across her regional bailiwick of Bicol for two days, before heading to Batangas on February 10, and Laguna on February 11.
Vice President Leni Robredo started the second day of her presidential campaign on Wednesday, February 9, by encouraging people to seize the opportunity to change the kind of politics that has become the norm in the country.
