Tarlac Provincial Trade Fair opens in SM City Tarlac

The Department of Trade and Industry-Tarlac provincial office (DTI Tarlac), in cooperation with the Provincial Government of Tarlac, Tarlac Henyo Marketing Cooperative, and SM City Tarlac officially opened the Tarlac Provincial Trade Fair on November 12, 2021.

“Once again, this is another opportunity for Tarlac to take pride of its products and the skills and craftsmanship of the Tarlaqueños,” DTI Tarlac Director Agnes Ramirez said during her speech.

DTI-3 RD Leonila T. Baluyut (4th from R) and Tarlac Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office Head Marvi Dela Cruz (5th fr R) join key DTI, mall and THEM officials in officially opening the Pasalove Tarlac Provincial Trade Fair in SM Tarlac City.

Now on its 3rd year, the Tarlac Provincial Trade Fair features a wide variety of food, fashion accessories, wearable items, holiday decors, gift items, furniture and home furnishing manufactured by more than 70 Tarlac Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from the province.

“The Tarlac Provincial Fair 2021 is a significant avenue in promoting the products of the MSMEs in our Province. For several years, our MSMEs have always been active participants and partners of the government. Despite what we are currently experiencing, as long as we are collectively working together, each of us can make a real difference.” Gov. Susan Yap said.

The fair also highlights the MSMEs under the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP), Bamboo Development Program, One Town One Product (OTOP) Next Gen Program, and MSMEs that have conquered the international market.

“This is a manifestation of the collaboration among the stakeholders of Tarlac. This is also a venue to showcase the different programs of DTI for the MSMES. I have seen how Tarlac products and MSMEs have evolved over time,” DTI 3 Regional Director Leonila Baluyut said. Director Baluyut graced the ribbon cutting ceremony for the trade fair together with key officials of the mall.

The Fair was also dubbed as Pasa Love, a theme DTI uses to encourage the consumers to share their love through patronization of local products.

Tarlac Provincial Trade Fair is located at the Upper Ground Level of SM City Tarlac and is open until December 31, 2021.
