Filipino TV and movie personality Tessie Tomas recently visited the Philippine Consulate General in New York and over coffee with Consul General Elmer G. Cato, shared how life is in the Isle of Man, a self governing British protectorate in the Irish Sea, where she now resides with her marine biologist husband.
Tessie is remembered by many for her role in the comedy show ‘Champoy’, and later on ‘Abangan ang Susunod na Kabanata’ and as host of the talk show ‘Teysi ng Tahanan.’
Not many know that she holds the distinction of being the first female creative director of McCann Erickson Philippines. She was in New York to spend Thanksgiving with her son who is based here. (From ConGen Elmer G. Cato’s official Facebook page)
