Transport hubs across the country are fully prepared for the expected surge of pasengers during the Holy Week, according to Department of Transportation (DOTr) Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez.

Speaking at a press conference at Camp Crame on March 31, Lopez said road, rail, maritime, and aviation sectors have put measures in place to ensure smooth and safe travel for millions of passengers.
The preparations follow the directive of Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for a whole-of-government approach to guarantee the safety and comfort of motorists and travelers during the annual religious observance.
The Department of Transportation expects at least 5 million passengers to pass through various transport hubs nationwide over the long weekend.

Lopez was joined during the briefing by DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla, DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon, and PNP Chief Jose Melencio Nartatez, highlighting coordinated efforts among key agencies to manage the anticipated influx of travelers.
