Typhoon Egay caused continuous heavy rainfall in Camiling, Tarlac that resulted in partial damage to the slope protection along the Camiling River in Barangay Cacamilingan Sur and subsequently led to flooding that affected both residents and motorists.
District Engineer Neil Farala, together with a team of engineers and inspectors from the DPWH Tarlac 1st District Engineering Office, conducted an inspection earlier today, July 28, to assess the extent of the damage to the slope protection structure along the Camiling River and initiated sandbagging activities to mitigate the impact of the flooding.
Affected residents have been advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions, particularly during heavy rainfall, to ensure their safety. The DPWH is actively working to address the issue and restore the slope protection to its proper functionality.
