Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. on October 18, 2021 arrived at the scene of an anti-drug raid operation in Brgy. Pulung Cacutud, Angeles City, where thirty-eight kilos of suspected shabu, estimated to be worth more than P200 million was seized by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), led by Director General Wilkins Villanueva.

Four Chinese nationals died during the operation.

Mayor Lazatin commended Wilkins and members of the PDEA Region III, led by Regional Director Bryan Babang, for the successful anti-drug operations.

The Angeles City Government has strengthened measures to ensure that the City will be cleared of drugs.
