The Angeles City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), headed by Edna Duaso, on June 17, 2024 assisted the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in the distribution of financial assistance to 495 indigent residents under the Assistance to Individual in Crisis Situations (AICS) program. The distribution was conducted in coordination with Sen. Pia Cayetano’s office.
Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr, who was represented by Councilor Atty. Arvin ‘Pogs’ Suller, thanked Sen. Pia Cayetano for providing the said assistance to Angeleños.
The AICS program is a social safety net or a stop-gap mechanism to support the recovery of individuals and families from unexpected crises such as illness or death of a family member, and other crisis situations.
