ANGELES CITY COMPLETES 16 COMPUTER LABS

Angeles City has taken another step forward in enhancing its educational infrastructure with the opening of its 16th computer laboratory at Rafael Lazatin Memorial High School in Barangay Balibago.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. spearheaded the initiative, which is part of the city’s ongoing effort to provide students and teachers with better access to technology and digital resources. This new computer lab will further support the city’s ICT Modernization Program, aimed at achieving an ideal student-to-computer ratio and improving digital learning experiences.

In addition to the newly opened lab, two computer labs were designated at Rafael Lazatin Memorial Junior High School, and another was built at Rafael Lazatin Memorial Senior High School. The program has already benefited seven public schools in the city, including Angeles City National High School, Angeles City National Trade School, Northville 15 Integrated School, Governor Rafael L. Lazatin Integrated School, Malabanias Integrated School, Rafael Lazatin Memorial High School, and Sapangbato National High School.

“We remain committed to equipping our educational institutions with modern tools to create more opportunities for enhanced learning,” said Mayor Lazatin.

The ribbon-cutting and turnover ceremony was attended by Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, City Councilors, department heads, and officials from the Department of Education, including Schools Division Superintendent Engr. Edgard Domingo.

Earlier in 2024, Angeles City High School and Northville 15 Integrated School each opened three computer labs, while Angeles City National Trade School and Angeles City National High School each added two rooms for the same purpose.

This initiative reflects the city’s continued commitment to fostering a tech-enabled learning environment for students across Angeles City.
