After hitting 13-M subs: DITO to expand 5G Network

Following its milestone of reaching 13 million subscribers by late 2024, DITO is set to ramp up its infrastructure development this year to enhance its 5G capabilities and further strengthen its position as the Philippines’ third-largest telecom provider.

Speaking at News @ Hues, the media forum staged by Pampanga Press Club in partnership with Park Inn by Radisson Clark, DITO Business Head for North and South Luzon, shared that the company plans to roll out additional 5G facilities for both residential and enterprise customers.

“We’re adding more 5G cell sites and upgrading existing 4G ones,” Dayrit confirmed.

Since launching five years ago, DITO has steadily built a robust subscriber base. The company has focused on Central Business Districts (CBDs) and offers competitive packages tailored to meet the needs of various enterprises, according to Dayrit.

“DITO provides an experiential service that caters to a data-driven economy,” he explained.

The telco, owned by Dennis Uy of Davao, boasts a state-of-the-art network of over 7,000 towers, including its stand-alone 5G infrastructure, positioning itself as the fastest-growing telecom provider in the country.

One of DITO Business’ recent initiatives is providing free, high-speed Wi-Fi at Clark International Airport, offering passengers a seamless internet experience.
