In line with its vision to transform New Clark City into a sustainable, inclusive, and forward-thinking metropolis, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has officially launched the Slope Protection Wall Art Competition. With the theme “Blossoming Futures: A Celebration of New Clark City’s Innovation and Rich Biodiversity,” the competition seeks to highlight the city’s diverse flora and fauna while raising public awareness about environmental conservation.
Artists from across the Philippines are invited to submit mural designs that creatively blend New Clark City’s modern urban development with its surrounding biodiversity. The winning design will be installed on a slope protection wall along One Clark Boulevard, leaving a lasting impact on the city’s landscape. The winning artist will also receive a cash prize of Php 500,000.00.
“This competition celebrates Filipino creativity and ingenuity. Through this initiative, we hope to inspire designs that reflect New Clark City as a beacon of progress and environmental responsibility,” said BCDA President and CEO Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang. “The mural will serve as a visual journey along One Clark Boulevard, symbolizing the unity between people and nature.”
The competition is open to all Filipinos aged 18 and above, and participants are encouraged to showcase the city’s fusion of modernity and nature in their designs. Submissions will be accepted from January 13, 2025, to February 23, 2025. The winner will be announced on March 3, 2025, with the awarding ceremony taking place on March 10, 2025.
