The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has expressed its appreciation following the decision of Camp John Hay Golf Club members to withdraw their complaint against the government agency. This move paves the way for a seamless transition aimed at enhancing the facilities and services at the golf estate in Camp John Hay, Baguio City.

A group of golf club members filed a motion to withdraw their case before the Baguio Regional Trial Court, signaling their willingness to work alongside the new management of the golf course.

After successfully regaining control of the Camp John Hay Golf Course, the BCDA has partnered with a new consortium led by Golfplus Management Inc., the management team behind the premium golf estates in Nuvali and Alviera, and DuckWorld PH, a sports management and marketing agency. The consortium will manage the golf estate facilities during the interim period.

“The withdrawal of the case is an important step toward the smooth transition of the Camp John Hay Golf Course. We assure the public that both new and former members will continue to enjoy top-tier golf course services. Our new interim partners, Golfplus and DuckWorld PH, have a skilled team of engineers, designers, and maintenance experts who are more than capable of delivering world-class services and facilities at Camp John Hay Golf Course,” said BCDA President and CEO Joshua M. Bingcang.

The BCDA regained control of the Camp John Hay property, including the golf course, following the Supreme Court’s 22 October 2024 ruling. The court’s decision allowed the state-run agency to recover the 247-hectare property. On 06 January 2024, the court sheriff implemented the writ of execution and notice to vacate.
