Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. presided over a meeting on April 2, 2024 to set the parameters for suspension of classes due to the extreme heat index and allowing the shift to online modality.

The meeting was attended by Lazatinโ€™s Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, City Health Officer Dr. Verona Guevarra, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, Division of City Schools Superintendent Dr. Edgardo Domingo, and Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer-in-Charge Rodolfo Simeon.

Lazatin said that in the height of extreme heat, the health and safety of the students must be prioritized.
