The City Social Welfare and Development – Child Development Center (CSWD-CDC) successfully held its National Nutrition Month 2025 celebration on July 31 at Bahay Bulilit, Tarlac City Plazuela.
The lively event featured a colorful costume contest, dance performances, and a feeding activity participated in by children from 115 day care centers across the city. Dressed as fruits, vegetables, and other healthy food, the children impressed the audience with their creative and vibrant outfits that promoted the importance of proper nutrition.

According to Day Care Worker II and Federation President Marilou Sapigao, the celebration aimed to instill healthy eating habits among young learners. “We also teach them that junk food is not allowed. That’s why we encourage parents to prepare rice meals with nutritious viands and fruits so the children grow up strong, smart, and healthy,” she added.
The event was in line with this year’s National Nutrition Month theme: “Food and Nutrition Security, Let’s Make It a Priority! Adequate Food Is Our Right!” — which calls on communities to raise awareness on the importance of food security and proper nutrition.
CSWD-CDC expressed its gratitude to all parents, officers, and partners who contributed to the success of the event.
Looking ahead, the annual Children’s Congress will return this October, where kids from across Tarlac will showcase their talents in singing, dancing, and poetry.
