Capitol breaks ground for DHVSU Floridablanca

The provincial government, led by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, marked a significant step forward in education with the groundbreaking ceremony for the Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) Floridablanca Campus on March 6.

Governor Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, 2nd District Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, and Floridablanca Mayor Darwin Manalansan led the ceremony. A ₱43.7 million budget has been allocated for the three-story academic building, which is set to rise in Sta. Monica, Floridablanca. The building is scheduled for completion by December 2025.

Governor Pineda emphasized the crucial role of education in addressing poverty and driving progress. “Education is the key to poverty alleviation. This project is for the future of Pampanga,” he said, urging full support for the DHVSU Floridablanca campus.

Mayor Manalansan expressed his gratitude to the provincial government for making the project a reality, highlighting its positive impact on the local community.

Other attendees included Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco, Provincial Engineer Noli Pangan, Vice Mayor Michael Galang, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and DHVSU representatives, including Vice President for Student Affairs & Services Dolly Quiambao and Floridablanca Campus Understudy Director Rozen Alfonso, who all expressed their support for the initiative.
