Mayor Crisostomo Garbo delivered a brief and straightforward message during this morning’s flag-raising ceremony following the dismissal of the case filed against him by his political rival. Mayor Garbo expressed that he was not surprised by the Ombudsman’s decision, as he and the Mabalaquenians have always known the truth.

In a statement following the flag ceremony, the mayor emphasized his commitment to continuing projects for the benefit of his constituents and staying focused on addressing the needs of the Mabalaquenians.

“Nais kong ipahayag ang aking taos-pusong pasasalamat sa Diyos at sa inyong patuloy na suporta. Ang inyong pagtitiwala ay nagsilbing lakas sa akin habang ako’y humaharap sa mga hamon ng pamamahala. Bagamat ako’y natutuwa sa desisyong ibasura ang walang saysay na alegasyon, hindi na po ako nagulat dito. Alam natin ang ating layunin at ang mga prinsipyo na ating pinapahalagahan. Ang mga Mabalaqueños ay may malinaw na pag-iisip at matibay na pananampalataya sa Diyos. Hinding-hindi tayo magiging biktima ng mga paninira ng iilang may pagnanais na mamuno,” Mayor Garbo said.

Former MCTEG head Ralph David also expressed his support, stating, “Despite the criticisms from our opponents, Mayor Cris Garbo continues to serve our fellow citizens. Thanks to God for His unwavering guidance. We also thank our fellow citizens who have not been swayed by negative politicking.”
