Cebu Pacific, NBI warn public against unauthorized flight sellers

Cebu Pacific has partnered with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to identify and stop unauthorized sellers of airline tickets who use fraudulent or stolen credit cards to book flights.

The airline is also coordinating with other government agencies, including the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB), to caution the public against booking flights through unauthorized channels.

Cebu Pacific said it has canceled bookings confirmed to have been purchased using fraudulent or stolen credit cards, as verified by its partner banks. An investigation revealed that certain individuals used these cards to book flights, convert the bookings into Travel Funds, and illegally resell tickets through unauthorized platforms.

Passengers affected by the canceled bookings have already been notified and are advised to rebook their flights through www.cebupacificair.com using a valid and authorized mode of payment should they wish to proceed with their travel plans.

As part of its efforts, several Facebook groups found to be involved in unauthorized ticket selling have been taken down. These include Cebu Pacific Refund, Cebu Pacific Travel Fund (For Sale), Cebu Pacific Air, and CEBU PACIFIC PISO FARE//PROMO TICKET//LOW FARE.

Cebu Pacific strongly reminds passengers to book flights only through its official website, mobile app, or accredited travel partners to ensure access to legitimate booking services and the airline’s guaranteed lowest fares.

To book flights, passengers may visit www.cebupacificair.com or download the official Cebu Pacific mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
