Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, has earned a Bronze award in the Diversity and Inclusion (D\&I) category at the 2025 Economic Times Human Capital Awards (ETHCA), making it the only Southeast Asian carrier recognized this year.
The ETHCA honors organizations that prioritize people-first strategies and outstanding HR practices. The award highlights CEB’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and creating equal opportunities for all employees.

“Diversity and inclusion are core to how we lead,” said Felix Lopez, CEB Chief Human Resources Officer. “This recognition affirms our belief that empowering our people leads to better service for our passengers and communities.”
Cebu Pacific has been a trailblazer in the local aviation industry, being among the first to hire openly transgender cabin crew and female pilots, while also extending benefits to common-law and same-sex partners.
At the center of its efforts is the incluCEB Space campaign, which promotes inclusivity and psychological safety across the company. It’s backed by the Juan CEB Community (JCC), an employee-led group that spearheads initiatives like EmpowHER for women in non-traditional roles, Rainbow Routes for LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and Sky Parents for solo parents.
CEB also provides mandatory DEI training for leaders and new hires, and partners with The Vanguard Academy to offer internships for neurodiverse individuals.
These ongoing efforts have positioned CEB as a workplace leader in the region. In 2024, it became the first airline in Southeast Asia to be certified as a Great Place to Work® and was named one of the top employers for fresh graduates by Prosple.
Cebu Pacific operates flights to 37 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, while continuing to champion a diverse and inclusive workforce.
