Congressman Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. met with officials from the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO), led by PCOL Joselito Villarosa, Jr., and the Philippine Coast Guard, headed by LTSG Mike Jayson De Torres, on October 14, 2025, to discuss the recent spate of bomb threat hoaxes circulating on social media, targeting schools and universities in Pampanga’s First District.

Joining the meeting were DOTr Assistant Secretary and Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Chief Political Affairs Officer Reina Manuel.

The discussion focused on strengthening coordination between law enforcement agencies and local authorities to ensure the safety of students and school personnel, and to curb the spread of false information that causes unnecessary panic in the community.
