These heartfelt words came from Barangay Dapdap Captain Glenn Tiongco as he expressed his gratitude to Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. during a gift distribution event on December 3, 2024. Lazatin personally handed out rice and ham to barangay officials in Dapdap, continuing his yearly tradition of spreading holiday cheer.
“Pasalamat kami pung maragul kekayu kareng saup yu kareng tao kening Mabalacat,” Tiongco added, acknowledging Lazatin’s unwavering support for the residents of Mabalacat City.
Starting December 2, Lazatin began distributing his personal holiday gifts—five kilos of rice and a box of ham—to barangay officials in Pampanga’s First District. A total of 10,719 barangay officials will benefit from this initiative, including:
✅ 4,738 in Angeles City
✅ 3,344 in Mabalacat City
✅ 2,637 in Magalang town
The distribution in Magalang is scheduled to begin on December 4, 2024.
“This is my way of expressing gratitude to the hardworking barangay officials who ensure that services are delivered efficiently to our communities,” Lazatin shared.
Since being elected as Angeles City Councilor in 2014, Lazatin has made this holiday gesture a staple of his public service. What began as a citywide tradition in Angeles now includes barangay officials from Mabalacat City and Magalang town.
On October 1, 2024, Lazatin filed his Certificate of Candidacy for Pampanga First District Representative. Running unopposed, he is poised to bring his inclusive leadership style to Congress.
