The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), together with the Provincial Government, facilitated the distribution of assistance to 1,549 beneficiaries under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.

Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Provincial Board Members, and officials from the regional and provincial offices of DOLE spearheaded the payout of beneficiaries at the Bren Z Guiao Convention Center on Friday, January 12, 2024.

Governor Pineda expressed gratitude to Speaker Martin Romualdez for allocating funds for the TUPAD beneficiaries in the province. He emphasized that the program would not only significantly assist indigent families but also contribute to the maintenance of cleanliness in the respective barangays.

TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance that offers emergency employment opportunities for displaced workers, underemployed individuals, and seasonal workers. The employment period lasts for a minimum of 10 days, not exceeding 30 days, depending on the nature of work performed, following DOLE’s guidelines.

Present during the payout were PESO Manager Luningning Vergara and Special Assistant to the Governor and PDRRM Chief Angelina Blanco.
