ESTADO NI JUANA 2025: Mabalacat City’s First-Ever State of the Women’s Address

In celebration of National Women’s Month, the Mabalacat City Government hosted its inaugural State of the Women’s Address (MCG-SOWA): Estado ni Juana 2025 on March 24, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center in Clark. This event, part of the national observance under Republic Act No. 6949, highlights women’s rights, gender equality, and empowerment.

The 2025 theme, “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” called for the upliftment of women across all sectors and emphasized equal access to opportunities. Mabalacat City’s celebration was a powerful demonstration of this commitment.

The event brought together key women leaders, city officials, Punong Barangays, stakeholders from national and regional agencies, and members of the GAD Focal Points System (GFPS), Barangay Population and GAD Workers (BPGWs), and the Mabalacat City Council of Women. Mr. Charlo G. Costales, City Population and GAD Officer, and Vice Chairperson of GFPS, formally acknowledged the gathering.

Their speeches reinforced the city’s dedication to promoting gender equality and supporting the welfare of women.

Mayor Hon. Crisostomo C. Garbo, Chairperson of GFPS and POPDEV Council, expressed gratitude for the continued efforts of various city offices and organizations in advancing women’s rights. He highlighted the city’s accomplishments in improving opportunities for women.

The event also featured a soulful performance by Ms. Justin Aira Falla, Grand Champion of Musika ni Juana 2023, who delivered a heartfelt rendition of “Lipad ng Pangarap.” Additionally, the Mabalacat City Grand Zumba Dancers energized the crowd with an empowering dance performance.

City Councilor Hon. Marjorie Grace M. Sambo closed the event with a message of appreciation, acknowledging all who contributed to advancing women’s welfare and empowerment in the city.

Mabalacat City’s 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration marks a significant step toward building an inclusive and empowered society for women, reflecting the collective commitment to gender equality.
