With the Clarkhills management having reneged on its commitment to stop demotion and allowing tenants to own their lands, Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. today declared that the city government will now proceed with the plan to expropriate the contested land for Anunas tenants.
This amid the unstoppable demolitions being undertaken by the Clarkhills management, violating the agreement reached between them and the Angeles LGU.
The Clarkhills management and the Angeles LGU had earlier agreed to stop the demolition until a development plan was presented by the former.
Despite the amicable settlement, the Clarkhills management continues to conduct surprise demolitions in Balubad, Barangay Anunas, which already hurt several residents and continue to raise emotions.
The Angeles City Council had already allowed Mayor Lazatin to expropriate the land to its rightful tenants.
