In a major step toward sustainability, Globe Telecom has expanded the availability of its eco-friendly SIM cards to include Globe Prepaid and TM users—representing over 96% of its mobile customer base.
Following its 2022 debut of eco-SIMs for postpaid subscribers, Globe is now offering SIMs made entirely from recycled plastic to the broader public. This shift reinforces the company’s commitment to responsible consumption and climate action, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 12 and 13.
“Sustainability is at the heart of what we do,” said Globe Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto. “We continue to look for areas in the business where our practices can lead to greater impact.”
Globe’s Head of Consumer Mobile Business Eric Tanbauco added, “The launch of our ecoSIMs is just one of the many ways Globe is working towards a greener Philippines, and we invite our customers to be part of this journey.”

With this move, Globe becomes the first telco in the Philippines to fully embrace recycled SIM cards across both postpaid and prepaid segments. TM, known for its budget-friendly mobile offerings, now lets users make an eco-conscious choice—proving that caring for the planet doesn’t have to cost more.
