Gov’t plans to expand DOLE-JobStreet Job Fairs outside Metro Manila

The government is considering expanding the job fair partnership between the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and JobStreet to more areas outside Metro Manila in a bid to boost employment opportunities nationwide.

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. made the announcement on Wednesday during the 2025 JobStreet Career Con, titled “Creating Connections You Seek,” at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

The President explained that the job fair is still in its pilot phase, but if successful, similar events will be held in other provinces, allowing job seekers to access employment services closer to their homes. “If we see that many are placed in quality jobs, we will continue this program,” he said.

The two-day Career Con, organized by JobStreet in collaboration with DOLE, provides a platform for job seekers to connect with employers, explore opportunities, and discuss the future of the workforce.

Organizers reported that around 18,000 job seekers, including fresh graduates and experienced professionals, registered for the event.

Among the participating companies were SM Retail, Acquire, Philip Morris, TeleTech, Techno Global Team, Flash Express, Cardinal Health, Accenture, Nestlé, Meralco, Petron, Metrobank, JPMorgan Chase, and Federal Land.
